I began working for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau in October of 2013 as the Communication Intern. Not soon after I began working there, the Communication Coordinator resigns, and I assumed a great deal of her responsibilities. As the Communication Intern I had the opportunity to write many press releases, assist planning campaigns and events, brainstorming on ideas, writing, editing and designing brochures and other graphic materials, among other communication projects. 

Below are just a few examples of the work I did at the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.

While I did not physically design the following promotional items, I did create all the content and instructed the graphic designers on how the pieces should look. 

Expect the Unexpected Rack Card

Southern Soul was created to showcase and promote the elements of blues, country, rock n' roll and gospel music performed live throughout the history of the Southern Soul Capital - Shreveport, Louisiana.  

Spice and Soul Brochure was created to recognize the incredible African American heritage and culture in Shreveport- Bossier, Louisiana. See samples of the brochure content below. 

 

"Let's Seal the Deal" Golden Ticket Marketing Campaign 

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau "Let's Seal the Deal" Golden Ticket promotion was created to boost convention and meeting business in Shreveport-Bossier, La. This limited time promotional offer gave participants additional assistance and funding if they agreed to host a meeting in Shreveport-Bossier, La. within the next two years (2014-2016). These efforts were created and executed by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau communications team, along with the convention department.
